As a key member of our engineering team, the Principal Mechanical Engineer will spearhead the design, analysis, testing, and integration of critical vehicle subsystems for our advanced hybrid-electric aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the complete lifecycle of vehicle subsystem development, from initial architecture to final integration.
2. Provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring high-quality technical reviews and design direction.
3. Establish subsystem and component specifications that align with safety, performance, and organizational goals.
4. Collaborate with suppliers and partners to meet project deliverables and maintain quality standards.
5. Manage the interactions between various vehicle subsystems and the overall vehicle design.
6. Conduct thorough analyses, modeling, and simulations to validate subsystem performance and safety.
7. Liaise with stakeholders, including customers and internal teams, to ensure project alignment and communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or a related field) with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the aircraft development process and familiarity with various aircraft subsystems.
- Strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience in leading aerospace system development from concept to production.
- Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) and certification processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (preferably NX) and mechanical systems analysis techniques.
