Test Manager Job Description

Blue Canyon Technologies, a leading small satellite manufacturer and mission services provider, is seeking a highly skilled Test Manager to join our team.

We are a dynamic and innovative company that has completed missions ranging from low Earth orbits to lunar and interplanetary journeys at a fraction of the cost of traditional space systems.

As a Test Manager, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a group of test engineers in their product area, supporting integration and test activities, and implementing and communicating test engineering best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the integration and test of spacecraft systems
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for direct reports
  • Responsible for performance reviews and time sheet approval of direct reports
  • Ensure all test procedures and operations follow best practices
  • Write, review, update, and implement test procedures
  • Use test and measurement equipment to test and troubleshoot hardware
  • Develop and modify test scripts
  • Maintain required test engineering logs and records
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience in Test Engineering or a related field
  • Experience managing a team of engineers
  • Experience with hardware testing using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers
  • Experience with writing and executing manual and/or automated test procedures
  • Experience with programming languages such as Matlab, Ruby, and/or Python
