Position Overview

Leidos is in search of an Electromagnetic Systems Testing Specialist who possesses a robust background in the design and evaluation of RF and Radar Systems, particularly in the realm of Electronic Warfare (EW) methodologies and countermeasures. This position offers the opportunity to engage in pioneering research and applications that bolster both current and forthcoming EW initiatives, aiding in the evolution of fully autonomous cognitive EW systems. You will work alongside seasoned professionals to enhance your expertise and career trajectory in this dynamic field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and assess military technologies and systems, encompassing sensors, weaponry, command and control algorithms, network communications, and EW techniques.
  • Define and execute prototype hardware/software for advanced technology demonstrations.
  • Construct RF testing fixtures, measurement apparatus, and testing methodologies.
  • Develop software for the implementation of Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA) algorithms, evaluate EW metrics, and integrate software into an EW testing environment.
  • Create a Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) system software model along with digital and RF models for evaluating adaptive sensor systems.
  • Model, develop, and test EW algorithms and systems utilizing Matlab, Python, and/or C++.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary teams focused on designing machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms for Department of Defense electronic warfare applications.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with a minimum of 4 years of pertinent radar/EW systems experience, or a master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant radar/EW systems experience.
  • Possession of an active Secret security clearance.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB and scientific programming.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Capability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Familiarity with digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection and estimation theory, and stochastic processes.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation, radar systems, adaptive radar, signal processing, or algorithm development.
  • Proficiency in Python, Simulink, C/C++, and Verilog HDL.

Compensation Information

The pay range for this position is $81,000 to $146,875. This range serves as a general guideline, and additional factors may be considered in extending an offer.
