Job Title: Managing Director, US Business Development

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Managing Director, US Business Development. This role will play a key part in driving our distribution strategy and expanding our presence in the US market.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan, building relationships with institutional investors and consultants, and raising awareness of our capabilities and investment solutions. They will also be expected to own the sales process, from target market analysis to follow-up, and take an active role in developing more junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive business growth in the US market
  • Build and maintain relationships with institutional investors and consultants
  • Raise awareness of our capabilities and investment solutions through targeted prospecting activities
  • Own the sales process, from target market analysis to follow-up
  • Develop and maintain knowledge across our full range of products and systems
  • Participate in growing our presence and seeking out information about competitors, market trends, and investor needs
Requirements:
  • 10 years of relevant experience in business development or client relationship functions
  • Series 7 or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Proven track record of successful marketing to institutional investors
  • Strong fixed income knowledge
  • CFA designation (or in pursuit of) strongly preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to make clear recommendations and advise
  • Ability to manage projects from start to completion
  • Excellent emotional intelligence and ability to nurture and grow relationships
