Administrative Assistant, Development

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Development team at Skidmore College. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our fundraising efforts, ensuring seamless execution of daily operations and special projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage travel arrangements, schedules, and itineraries for Development team members.
- Prepare and submit accurate expense reports in accordance with College policy.
- Develop proficiency in Oracle and other software systems to support Development operations.
- Provide exceptional writing and editing skills to review proposals, gift agreements, and other documents.
- Communicate with donors, volunteers, parents, and alumni to schedule visits and meetings.
- Manage database entries, reports, and data analysis to support fundraising efforts.
- Coordinate mailings, answer phone calls, and maintain filing and correspondence systems.
- Collaborate with other administrative assistants to achieve goals and support high-level volunteer board and committee management.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- A high school diploma or GED is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution is preferred.
- 3-5+ years of administrative support experience is required; prior experience in higher education or fundraising is preferred.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Database management and report generation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong desire and ability to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a team.
- Ability to prioritize work and change priorities as required.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
$20.65-$23.00/hour
