Job Description

The StandWithUs organization is seeking an experienced and passionate Executive Director to oversee the development and implementation of educational programs, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer engagement in the Midwest region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of educational programs, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer engagement in the Midwest region.
  • Manage an advisory board and hold regular meetings to update and engage the board as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local synagogues, churches, schools, and other religious institutions to promote Israel's cooperation and contributions.
  • Represent StandWithUs in the local community, attending events and hosting educational meetings and briefings.
  • Collaborate with the national office and other departments to achieve fundraising goals and expand the organization's reach.
  • Develop and implement strategies to address anti-Israel campaigns and promote the organization's mission.

Requirements:

  • At least five years of fundraising or sales experience with a proven record of soliciting and closing large gifts or accounts.
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with the Jewish community in Chicago and surrounding areas.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Database/Raisers Edge, and grant applications.
  • Superior problem-solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Able to work occasional nights and weekends as needed.

Salary Range: $100,000-$150,000 annually, based on experience and fundraising history/skills.
