The Opportunity:

Avantor is seeking a skilled Sales Associate to join its Pharma and Biotech team. This full-time position is based in Boston/Cambridge, Massachusetts, and involves selling products and/or services to a group of clients. The Sales Associate will work independently, identifying new and potential customers to reach project profitability and billing levels within an assigned sales territory and/or account. Key activities include negotiation, sale, installation or delivery, and post-sale services. The role also involves securing and maintaining distribution of products and/or services and maintaining effective agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned sales territory and/or account.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Manage sales pipeline and deliver proposals to customers, illustrating VWR's value proposition.
  • Work with local manufacturer representatives to develop and improve product knowledge, arrive at most favored pricing, and improve account profitability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • College Degree in Life Sciences, Sciences, or equivalent field is required.
  • Minimum 0-1 years professional experience is required.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience is required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Pharmaceutical Sales Experience
    • Business to Business (B2B) or Distribution Sales Experience
    • C4C experience
    • Salesforce or QlikView experience
