Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Jewish Family Service of Colorado. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will provide high-quality counseling services to individuals, couples, and children, and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, and children, utilizing evidence-based therapies and techniques.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify client needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of client progress and treatment plans, in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in mental health treatment.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to interns and other mental health professionals as needed.
Requirements
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Colorado.
  • 2-5 years of post-graduate experience in individual, group, family, and couple therapy.
  • Experience working with children and adults, including those with complex mental health needs.
  • Familiarity with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and diagnostic techniques.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid chart compliance requirements and experience with electronic health records.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and community partners.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with EMDR therapy and other evidence-based treatments.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and cultural competence.
  • Experience working with diverse populations, including those from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Ability to provide services in a variety of settings, including office, home, and community-based settings.
