Hotel Front Office Manager Job Description

Homewood Suites Newport Cincinnati is seeking a highly skilled Hotel Front Office Manager to lead our front desk team. As a key member of our hotel staff, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest service, managing front office operations, and supervising front desk staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct front desk operations and ensure customer service meets our high standards
  • Hire, train, and supervise front office employees to provide excellent guest services
  • Interact with customers, assist with inquiries, and resolve guest complaints
  • Manage the front desk budget and order office supplies as needed
  • Compile occupancy reports and financial information for the general manager

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent certification required
  • At least two years of work experience in office management as a front desk supervisor, assistant front office manager, or similar position in the hospitality industry
  • Strong knowledge of general hotel industry practices and policies
  • Possess excellent management skills, communication skills, and multitasking skills
  • Proficient bookkeeping skills, including experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, are strongly desired
