Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school leadership and educational leaders to create a comprehensive strategy that guarantees suitable interventions for students requiring enhanced reading and academic assistance.
- Engage with Professional Learning Community (PLC) teams to facilitate data-driven evaluations and decisions regarding tiered support.
- Work alongside the Building Leadership Team, PLCs, and/or the Student Support Team to assess needs, formulate academic interventions, and assist in the execution of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) processes.
- Organize and deliver focused literacy interventions for designated students.
- Oversee the monitoring of progress for students receiving academic support in reading and other subjects.
- Collaborate with administration and counselors to analyze assessment data and create suitable instructional strategies.
- Provide literacy, academic, and classroom assistance or consultation to teachers, parents, and administrators as necessary.
- Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
- Lead the assessment, development, and execution of tiered interventions tailored to student requirements.
- Monitor and design responses based on student academic performance data.
- Facilitate discussions with parents, staff, and/or students.
- Guide PLC teams on data integration and analysis.
- Collaborate with teams on data management and the development and implementation of interventions.
- Deliver interventions for students in partnership with the student support team, administration, counselors, and teachers.
- Strong background in curriculum development with experience in teaching core content and instructional strategies.
- Prior experience collaborating with both special and general education staff.
- Experience in providing developmental skill instruction in reading, language arts, mathematics, and social skills.
- Proven competencies in:
- Effective communication with parents, teachers, and students
- Facilitating parent meetings as required
- Problem-solving
- Attention to detail
- Collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to manage daily routines while adhering to specific timelines.
- Evidence of project coordination capabilities.
- Proficient in operating computers, software, and necessary classroom technology.
- Ability to foster effective and positive relationships with students, staff, administrators, parents, and the community.
- Maintain professionalism while engaging with diverse personalities and situations. Exhibit initiative and operate as a self-starter.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with colleagues, supervisors, and the public.
