Job Overview:

The primary role involves the sale of both new and pre-owned agricultural machinery while delivering product knowledge and support to both existing and prospective clients, as well as dealership staff.

Actively engages with clients to encourage investment in the offerings of Deer Country Farm & Lawn, Inc.

Key Responsibilities:


Acts as the representative of the Company for machinery sales within a designated sales territory or product categoryMaintains up-to-date knowledge regarding the features and advantages of all equipment available for sale through the DealershipKeeps track of competitor activities/products and promptly communicates findings to managementProactively identifies potential customers, striving to enhance conversion ratesMaintains comprehensive customer data within the assigned territory for effective sales managementFollows the established sales process, including timely submission of call reports and post-sale follow-upsTakes responsible care of assigned company vehicles and equipment, if applicableAssists in organizing and executing customer events and conducts on-site equipment demonstrationsKeeps abreast of trends in customer business activities and communicates relevant information to managementMaintains current understanding of financing options to aid customers in acquiring new and used productsParticipates in relevant sales meetings, training sessions, and seminarsKeeps informed about the value of used equipment and is capable of proper evaluations for trade-in purposesAdvises customers on general agricultural practices and the appropriate machinery for their needsResponds to phone inquiries and ensures all sales orders and documentation are completed promptly, thoroughly, courteously, and accuratelyDemonstrates a genuine commitment to the company by fostering teamwork and maintaining a positive attitude.

Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of 1 year of experience in equipment salesFamiliarity with agricultural machinery and farming or operational practices is preferredStrong customer relationship management skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, individually and in groupsFlexibility to work varied hours, including weekendsProficient in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functionsAdept at analyzing and interpreting basic sales reportsHigh School Diploma or equivalent work experienceValid insurable driver's license.
