The Manufacturing Project Engineer will serve as the primary leader in executing new manufacturing equipment projects, collaborating closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Product Development Technical Teams.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the execution of new manufacturing equipment projects.
- Collaborate with Product Development to define product specifications, performance metrics, capacity, and cost structures.
- Formulate plans for equipment, process design, and installation to ensure seamless integration into operations.
- Engage with equipment suppliers to establish machine purchase and performance specifications, managing supplier relationships throughout the equipment lifecycle.
- Oversee the complete process design, acquisition, and any necessary equipment design and fabrication with support from Manufacturing Engineering.
- Coordinate with manufacturing teams on equipment operation and provide operator training for effective process initiation.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation for servicing and repair of all new equipment.
- Assist Manufacturing Maintenance with preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts management.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to create product specifications, work instructions, and safety procedure documentation.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing principles by facilitating the implementation of lean techniques across all projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and project management capabilities.
- Highly organized self-starter with sound judgment.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong technical focus.
