Mechanical Engineering Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to join our team at Tri-S Recruiters. As a key member of our maintenance organization, you will provide technical and TPM-focused developmental support to maintenance teammates.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to maintenance teammates in areas such as safety, housekeeping, 5S standards, lean manufacturing, planning, TPM/reliability, cost, efficiency, quality, and labor utilization.
  • Implement TPM and Reliability best practices to ensure stability and machine efficiency.
  • Analyze process concerns and performance gaps and guide resources to resolve manufacturing and maintenance problems.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, quality specifications, and safety standards.
  • Lead TPM activities such as data collection, maintenance planning, and process improvement.
  • Manage departmental spend and budget.
  • Support safety initiatives and establish benchmarks within the maintenance team.
  • Work closely with capital project teams to integrate maintenance and reliability into capital projects.
  • Train and develop well-qualified teammates.
  • Communicate with involved departments on project status and team development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven work experience as a Project/Plant/Manufacturing/Maintenance Engineer.
  • Experience with Predictive Maintenance or Condition-Based Monitoring.
  • Familiarity with TPM principles.
  • Greenfield experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to zero incident safety culture, teammate engagement, active teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Solid organizational skills and time-management.
  • Proficient in MS Office products and MS Project.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drawing package.
