Position Overview: The Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is looking for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to support our financial team. The successful candidate will assist in various daily financial operations, ensuring accurate processing of accounts payable and receivable, as well as managing bank reconciliations and resident move-out documentation.

Work Location: Remote

Compensation: $21.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Accountants with daily tasks and special requests.
  • Serve as the primary contact for on-site staff regarding ledger adjustments.
  • Process and track resident move-outs, ensuring all information is accurate and managing any necessary revisions.
  • Assist in depositing payments to resident ledgers and address inquiries related to accounts receivable.
  • Conduct audits of lease documents and ledgers for accuracy.
  • Help with the bank reconciliation process, including organizing and storing bank statements in a cloud-based system.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Six months of accounting experience or completion of an accounting course.
  • Property management experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and a commitment to continuous learning.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Team-oriented with the capability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to perform under pressure.
