About The Role
Rippling is scaling to $1 billion in annual recurring revenue and beyond. To achieve this, we need to build a go-to-market engine that drives growth across multiple product SKUs, sales segments, buyer personas, and countries. As the Senior Product Marketing Manager for IT Solutions, you will play a crucial role in orchestrating the product marketing of Rippling's IT business. You will gather and analyze market intelligence to ensure we tell the right stories in the right channels, enabling our sales team to win.
This role is highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with Rippling's Sales teams, Marketing organization, and Product organization. We are looking for a strong general manager mindset, compelling storytelling skills, and a customer obsession.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a go-to-market strategy for new IT product launches.
- Define product marketing fundamentals, including messaging, positioning, personas, and more.
- Conduct deep customer research and synthesize insights about our IT products, target audiences, personas, and differentiation vs competitors.
- Partner closely with the Product organization to define the IT product roadmap.
- Create an always-on feedback loop between sales, product, and marketing.
- Educate our sales teams and create sales tools / collateral to help them win.
- Be a spokesperson, evangelist, expert, and thought leader with analysts, customers, and partners.
- Approach business growth with a general manager mindset, focusing on awareness, attach rate, win rate, adoption, and customer retention.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, technical product marketing, consulting, business operations, or general management. (2+ years in marketing highly preferred)
- Experience in SaaS tech businesses, preferably in the IT technology/security space.
- Proven ability to translate customer and market insights into crisp GTM fundamentals, including segmentation, buyer personas, messaging, competitive positioning, pricing recommendations, and more.
- You love to dive deep into products and team effectively with product managers and engineers.
- You pride yourself in making the impossible possible, being resourceful, and having a bias towards action.
- You are results-oriented and evidence-driven, speaking the truth even when it's inconvenient.
- Superb ability to influence, collaborate, and project manage, building trust with various personalities.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, clearly telling a story without resorting to jargon.
- You are a quick learner, picking up context rapidly and adapting to new challenges.
- You are an exceptional problem solver, decomposing complex problems and identifying patterns from noise.
- A creative spark, with analytical chops and the ability to think outside the box.
