Job Summary

The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Audio Visual Services Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Infrastructure Services department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining UCSF's AV systems and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement AV systems and infrastructure to meet the needs of UCSF's academic, medical, and research missions.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to the AV Services team and other Infrastructure Services teams.
  • Lead complex AV projects, including customer and stakeholder engagement, documentation, design, and final installation.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and regulatory requirements to drive continuous innovation.
  • Collaborate with other construction engineering teams and participate in building meetings and inspections.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as information technology, computer science, or public administration.
  • 5-7 years of experience working in AV technology, unified communications, or network operations.
  • Advanced knowledge of AV technologies, including audio/video signal flow, AV equipment functionality, and industry standards.
  • Proven experience managing phases of AV projects, including obtaining scope, budget, planning, design, bid preparation, installation, inspection, testing, and final walk-through.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist, Certified Technology Specialist - Design, or Certified Technology Specialist - Installation.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
  • Manufacturer Certification (Crestron, Extron, QSC, etc.).
