Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented individual to fill our Full-Time Personal Banker position at Ulster Savings Bank. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and promoting bank products to existing and new customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Process retail and commercial checking and savings account deposits and withdrawals, verifying customer information and ensuring accurate transactions.
  2. Assist with safe deposit box duties, including opening and closing boxes, and maintaining accurate records.
  3. Redeem savings bonds for existing and non-existing customers, ensuring compliance with bank policies and procedures.
  4. Issue debit cards and gift cards to customers, verifying customer information and ensuring accurate transactions.
  5. Open new personal and commercial accounts, including checking, savings, safe deposit box, and IRA accounts.
  6. Market bank products to new and existing customers, discussing traditional and non-traditional bank products and services.
  7. Perform Certificate of Deposit redemptions, pay-outs, transfers, and renewals, ensuring accurate calculations and compliance with bank policies.
  8. Count currency and coin accurately to balance cash boxes daily, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  9. Verify signatures and amounts on negotiable instruments and bank forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies.
  10. Write various tickets, proof sheets, and receipts for auditing purposes, maintaining accurate records.
  11. Assist customers with questions and problems, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  12. Travel to other branches as needed, representing Ulster Savings Bank and providing excellent customer service.
Requirements
  1. Minimum 1 year cash handling experience, with a strong understanding of banking procedures and policies.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen, understand, and respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
  3. Excellent customer service and technical skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of accuracy.
