Slalom Chicago is actively looking for a Client Executive to enhance the Slalom brand within our Manufacturing clientele and oversee our most significant and strategic accounts across the sector. This position is aimed at a Director or Senior Director level. The Client Executive will spearhead efforts to address the most urgent challenges in Manufacturing through our comprehensive services. If you excel at partnering with clients to establish strategic direction, deliver innovative solutions, and envision the future, we would like to connect with you.

Your Responsibilities

Business Development:
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within our managed accounts.
  • Comfortable engaging with and generating new opportunities within the Manufacturing sector.
  • Oversee and manage the complete cycle of a consulting sales process, including all pre-sales activities for advisory services.
  • Maintain a consistent market presence to position Slalom as a leading strategy, business, and technology consulting firm for Manufacturing clients.
Client Service and Delivery Leadership:
  • Drive account expansion by formulating annual account strategies and executing plans to generate new sales.
  • Guide development teams to ensure robust delivery aligned with client objectives.
  • Leverage your extensive manufacturing expertise to partner with clients, influencing strategic direction and identifying how Slalom can assist in achieving their business goals.
  • Lead by example through billable roles on active projects such as client service lead, delivery lead, subject matter expert, engagement lead, or accountable executive.
  • Provide oversight and governance across all sold and managed engagements, ensuring a financially healthy manufacturing sector through metrics such as utilization, revenue, gross profit, and pipeline management.
Portfolio Leadership:
  • Contribute to the development of the industry strategy and business plan for the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with other practices to introduce new solutions to the market.
  • Identify growth opportunities for Slalom offerings and help shape the direction for that growth.
  • Deliver thought leadership to clients by creating market points of view.
Your Qualifications

Industry Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of the Manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of industry market structure, including products, players, technologies, industry dynamics, and relevant regulatory issues.
  • Engage in meaningful discussions with professionals and senior executives within the manufacturing sector.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing large, complex accounts in a consulting environment with a focus on manufacturing clients is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of account and delivery management experience in consulting.
  • Advanced project delivery skills encompassing all aspects of program/project management and client relationship management.
  • Exceptional negotiation, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with our partner ecosystem is advantageous (AWS, Microsoft, Salesforce, Google Cloud, etc.).
  • Comfortable engaging with and/or selling to Senior C-Suite Executives.
  • Strong executive presence.
  • Must reside within a commutable distance to the Chicago Metropolitan Area.
