Epic Senior Analyst, HIM Position

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Epic Senior Analyst to join our HIM department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing and leading the Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts on the team. Your primary focus will be on the implementation, build, and modification of the Epic application, as well as collaborating with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and lead the Associate Epic Analysts and Epic Analysts on the team
• Implement, build, and modify the Epic application
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application's configuration, function, and access
• Support junior staff members in day-to-day operations and resolving application issues
• Serve as a primary support contact for application end-users
• Initiate the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the application
• Perform the analysis of information technology in clinical work processes and validate the impacts to the workflow
• Identify and guide the work to resolve issues
• Support junior staff members in the evaluation and resolution of service tickets, identification and implementation of application changes, retrieval of requested data, and execution of day-to-day operations
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• Epic certifications in Hospital Coding Administration, or Deficiency Tracking Administration, or Release of Information Administration or Identity Administration is required
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
• Previous operational, project management, and organizational skills
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
• Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems
• Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
• Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others
