Job Title: Polysomnography Technologist III

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnography Technologist III to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Polysomnography Technologist III, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of polysomnography procedures on patients with suspected injury and disease resulting in sleep disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform polysomnography procedures on patients with possible injury and disease resulting in sleep disorders.
  • Prepare patients for testing, perform the study, and collect information pertinent to the interpretation of the test results.
  • Responsible for the application and operation of acute care short and long-term mechanical ventilation and the required advanced evaluation in the Sleep Disorders Center.
  • Administer CPAP and BiPAP ventilation, and take verbal orders from physicians.
  • Conduct tests, such as electrocardiograms, stress testing, and lung capacity tests, to evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary functions.
  • Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial/capillary blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, and consult with physicians as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current OH license in Respiratory Care
  • One year experience in Polysomnography
  • Registry Eligible for BRPT exam
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved two-year Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Must hold a valid respiratory credential (CRT or RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
