Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnography Technologist II to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a Polysomnography Technologist II, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders. This includes preparing patients for testing, performing the study, and collecting information pertinent to the interpretation of test results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders
  • Prepare patients for testing, including applying leads and ensuring proper equipment setup
  • Collect and analyze data from polysomnographic studies, including EEG, EMG, and ECG signals
  • Stage and score sleep studies to determine sleep quality and identify potential sleep disorders
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients with sleep disorders
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved two-year Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Registry as a Respiratory Therapist (or registry eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care) or Registered Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist
  • Current Ohio licensure or certification to practice respiratory care (Respiratory Therapist only)
  • Registered by the Association of Polysomnography Technologists or a technician eligible for registration within twelve months of employment as a Polysomnography Technologist
  • Current CPR certificate
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Proficient in computer operations/technology
  • One year's experience in Polysomnography
Work Environment

This position is contingent on the availability of funding and is a non-exempt position. The work environment is fast-paced and requires strong communication and teamwork skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent patient care.
