Join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital as a Polysomnography Technologist III, where you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders in patients of all ages.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Polysomnography Technologist III to join our team in the Sleep Lab. As a Polysomnography Technologist III, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders, including polysomnography, multiple sleep latency, O2 monitoring, pCO2 monitoring, ECG monitoring, and portable polysomnography. You will also be responsible for administering CPAP and BiPAP ventilation, taking verbal orders from physicians, and transcribing written orders.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform polysomnographic procedures on patients with suspected sleep disorders
  • Administer CPAP and BiPAP ventilation
  • Take verbal orders from physicians and transcribe written orders
  • Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy
  • Conduct tests to evaluate patients' cardiopulmonary functions
  • Facilitate the transportation of equipment and patients as necessary
  • Participate in conferences, technical meetings, and other educational activities
Requirements:
  • High school graduate
  • Current CPR certificate
  • Current OH license in Respiratory Care
  • One year experience in Polysomnography
  • Registry Eligible for BRPT exam
  • Graduate of an AMA approved two years Respiratory Therapy Program
  • Must hold a valid respiratory credential (CRT or RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
Working Conditions:

The Polysomnography Technologist III will work in a fast-paced environment, often under pressure to meet deadlines and ensure the smooth operation of the Sleep Lab. The incumbent must be able to lift up to thirty pounds frequently, lift fifty pounds occasionally, and stand or sit for extended periods of time frequently. The ability to reach above the head, stoop, and kneel frequently is also required.
