Human Resource Coordinator Job Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resource department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer benefit plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation in compliance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering frequently asked questions from employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, and workplace culture.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected, filed appropriately, and up to date.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, fostering positive relationships.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience that integrates new employees into the organizational culture.
  • Assist in the recruiting process, including screening resumes and coordinating interviews.
  • Research and suggest HR best practices and initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of related experience with HR generalist and/or recruiting experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR credential preferred.
  • Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
