Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide routine and complex care to patients in the Critical Care setting, in accordance with patient treatment plans.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Assess and address the physical, psychosocial, social, cultural, spiritual, and developmental needs of patients and families.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side effects, and document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of combined experience required in both the Critical Care setting and one other specialty.
- BLS, ACLS, and RN License in state of employment or compact required.
- PALS required within 30 days of hire at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital or SPOHN.
- De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire at SPOHN.
- 5 years of experience in Critical Care nursing.
