We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Christus Health. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, physical condition, and treatment goals.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans, making adjustments as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including medical history, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, technologies, and best practices in critical care nursing.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of combined experience required in both the Critical Care setting and one other specialty (e.g. Medsurg, Telemetry, IMC or Emergency).
- 5 years of experience preferred.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
- RN License in state of employment or compact required.
- PALS required within 30 days of hire at CHRISTUS Children's Hospital or SPOHN.
- De-escalation training is required within 30 days of hire at SPOHN.
