We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Christus Health. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a critical care setting, including assessing patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for side effects and effectiveness.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, including medical history, symptoms, and treatment plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of combined experience in critical care and another specialty (e.g., med-surg, telemetry, IMC, or emergency).
- 5 years of experience preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- RN License in state of employment or compact required.
- PALS certification within 30 days of hire at Christus Children's Hospital or SPOHN.
- De-escalation training within 30 days of hire at SPOHN.
