KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees all operational divisions within the facility, collaborating with department heads to ensure adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and optimal production efficiency.
Facilitates the coordination of manufacturing, logistics, and storage in alignment with established policies and procedures.
Designs and executes strategies for the effective utilization of resources, including materials, machinery, and workforce.

Analyzes production expenses and product quality metrics, adjusting production and inventory management systems to enhance the plant's profitability.

Directs the compilation of production, human resources, and labor cost documentation.
Advises management on budget proposals.
Supports management in the negotiation of workforce agreements.
Fosters a collaborative relationship with sales and customer service teams.
Regularly assesses the financial performance of the facility to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction.
Coordinates safety, environmental, and training initiatives in partnership with the Human Resources Department.
Adheres to organizational policies and procedures.
Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS
Leads subordinate supervisors and/or production managers responsible for overseeing all plant personnel. Holds accountability for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these teams. Executes supervisory duties in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Responsibilities encompass employee training; planning, assigning, and directing tasks; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining staff; addressing grievances and resolving issues.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED along with relevant college and/or technical coursework
A minimum of five years of demonstrated managerial experience
At least ten years of experience in corrugated manufacturing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Possession of a college degree

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY
Capability to read, analyze, and interpret business publications, professional literature, technical instructions, or governmental regulations. Proficient in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedural documentation. Competent in effectively presenting information and addressing inquiries from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.

MATHEMATICAL ABILITY

Proficient in mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and the fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.

Capable of applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to real-world scenarios.

REASONING SKILLS
Adept at identifying problems, gathering data, establishing facts, and drawing logical conclusions.

Skilled in interpreting a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form and managing various abstract and concrete variables.


TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
The candidate must possess a solid understanding of:
Equipment design and operational capabilities that facilitate efficient functioning. This knowledge also supports the supervisor's role as an educator and trainer for their team.

Cost management to inform daily decisions aimed at reducing overall expenses and identifying areas for improvement.

Budget formulation, compliance, and analysis.
Quality assurance standards.

Regulatory compliance including, but not limited to, wage and hour laws, environmental regulations, company policies, and personnel requirements such as OSHA, DEQ, and EEO.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
The supervisor's performance will be assessed based on:

Operational standards - the Plant Manager must ensure that all reporting staff meet or exceed the operational benchmarks in quality, cost, safety, customer satisfaction, and productivity.

These standards will be established annually and communicated to the supervisor.

Personal development - while the company will provide resources to assist the supervisor in professional growth, the responsibility for advancement lies with the individual.

Annual goals will be developed and agreed upon by the supervisor and their superior.

Employee relations - through observations, the Plant Manager will be evaluated on their and their team's skills and progress in motivational techniques, feedback delivery, subordinate development, and fostering a positive work environment.
