Job Description

Job Summary:

Tiugo Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our Finance and Accounting team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the accounting operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, local accounting requirements, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounting Operations: Manage the accounting operations for areas including general ledger, accruals, payroll, equity, and intercompany, including detailed analysis and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts.
  • Financial Close Process: Own and drive coordination of the monthly global financial close process across multiple domestic and international teams.
  • Statutory Financial Statements: Manage activities associated with the issuance of statutory financial statements for international subsidiaries, including coordination with audit firms.
  • Internal Control Environment: Contribute to the improvement of the internal control environment and assist in establishing and executing a remediation plan for any ineffective key controls.
  • Tax Compliance: Monitor compliance with tax laws on sales and use, VAT, and GST tax, and 1099 reporting requirements.
  • Acquisition Integration: Assist with the integration, purchase accounting, and reporting of newly acquired operating entities.
  • Annual Audit and Tax Returns: Lead the preparation and coordination of annual audit and tax returns.
  • Financial Statements Package: Prepare and review monthly reconciliations and financial statements package with the Controller and CFO before final issuance to investors and lenders.

Key Qualifications:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external business partners at various levels.
  • Technical Skills: Excellent computer/technical skills, with experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Access, database, or other system knowledge.
  • Accounting Software Experience: Proficiency with accounting software systems, including Maxio and NetSuite, and experience with a software system implementation.
  • Financial Knowledge: Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Analytical Ability: Analytical ability to develop and implement improvements or recommendations to process.
  • Leadership Skills: Able to work well with senior executives and team, as well as mentor/lead other team members.
  • Experience: 6-8 years of experience within an accounting and/or finance role, with international experience with private equity firms a plus.
  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) license preferred.
