Position Overview

As a Mixed Commercial Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing a robust Quality Assurance Program to ensure compliance with contract specifications and industry standards.
  • Conducting inspections of ongoing work to verify adherence to specifications and contractual obligations.
  • Managing stormwater prevention and fugitive dust regulations in accordance with the project's environmental quality standards.
  • Building and maintaining effective professional relationships with project stakeholders, including owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
  • Preparing and disseminating Project Daily Reports that detail crew sizes, work performed, equipment used, weather conditions, and any project-related issues.
  • Innovating techniques and systems to improve quality, safety, productivity, and overall project management.
  • Effectively managing trade partners to ensure timely and successful project completion.
  • Facilitating project pre-planning activities and documenting discussions during weekly coordination meetings.
  • Leading Weekly Safety Meetings and Trade Partner Coordination Meetings.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive process for tracking project completion and minimizing corrective work.

Candidate Profile
  • 5 to 8 years of experience as a Superintendent.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain it within the first year of employment.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $30M or more.
  • Background in Higher Education and/or Healthcare projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial construction and skilled trades.
  • Proficiency in field productivity and project management software.
  • Intermediate technological skills and a positive attitude towards technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and manage project timelines effectively.
