Position Overview

The Bulk Account Merchandiser (BAM) plays a crucial role in selling, ordering, and showcasing products. This position involves promoting new products and offers, collaborating with clients to generate precise product orders, ensuring the execution of commercial strategies across their account portfolio, and merchandising products while adhering to safe handling practices and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees, sells, and implements strategies within a designated group of clients on daily, pre-scheduled routes, generating sales orders based on the established delivery frequency for each client to ensure operational success and contribute to the company's financial performance in terms of revenue, volume, and gross profit.
  • Implements relevant promotions and new products according to target lists, monthly Look of Success (LOS) initiatives, marketing promotions, Point-Of-Sale, and commercial strategies to achieve excellence in RED (Right Execution Daily) scores for assigned clients.
  • Stocks, displays, and rotates products on shelves and displays according to established procedures and special programs.
  • Organizes and maintains backroom inventory by categorizing and arranging products by package and flavor, managing the return of empty pallets and shells, and handling damaged or expired products.
  • Creates and distributes point-of-sale materials for displays and shelves where permitted. Rotates products and maintains Fastlane merchandisers and vendors; checks vendor operations to ensure proper functionality.
  • Builds and nurtures business relationships with store personnel through regular follow-ups on requests, proactive pricing strategies, special programs, new opportunities, and discussions on upcoming activities.
  • Identifies and communicates any competitive challenges or market activities that could affect the business (e.g., pricing, new packaging, changes in business strategy) and performs all job functions in a safe manner.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, speaking, and writing.
  • Previous customer service experience in a retail environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding setting (lifting 50 lbs. repetitively).
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Secondary education beyond high school is preferred.
  • High initiative and eagerness to learn.
  • Career-oriented mindset and a competitive spirit.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid in-state driver's license.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Proof of insurance policy to verify current coverage of liability and property damage.
  • High School Education / GED.
