Role Summary:

The Chemical Production Specialist I will engage in a variety of manufacturing tasks associated with the production of organic chemical products. This position requires a hands-on approach to the manufacturing, packaging, and processing of organic compounds, adhering to established protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility, multitasking abilities, and a commitment to maintaining safety and quality standards in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the production of organic chemical products utilizing principles of chemistry.
  • Oversee inventory management, including organization, weighing, and data entry using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
  • Ensure adherence to safety regulations, quality assurance, and company policies while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Effectively manage inventory to align with production timelines.
  • Communicate proactively regarding any deviations from production schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product quality and delivery expectations.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to production processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Up to 2 years of laboratory experience, preferably with a focus on organic chemistry.
  • Familiarity with general chemistry glassware, laboratory supplies, and handling of organic materials.
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of general chemistry calculations.
  • Self-driven with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and achieve objectives.
  • Experience in project management is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and process control is beneficial.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong work ethic and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
