Job Summary

This role provides administrative support to the Director of Equal Opportunity and Compliance and the Accommodations team, focusing on assisting students with inquiries and requests related to accessibility and accommodations. The successful candidate will manage incoming emails, serve as the point of contact for phone calls and visitors, and participate in the review and determination of accommodations requests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage incoming emails and phone calls related to student accommodations and accessibility issues
  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Equal Opportunity and Compliance and the Accommodations team
  • Participate in the review and determination of accommodations requests
  • Manage student and/or employee accommodation request files and tracking
  • Enter EEO data forms and perform other administrative tasks as assigned
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, active-listening skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have experience working with Excel and Word, as well as the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated understanding of the University environment and ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and community partners. Knowledge of legislative framework governing the work of the office.
