Clinical Support Technician II

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Support Technician II to join our Cardiology and Oncology Stepdown Unit team at UNC Medical Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.
Responsibilities- Assist professional caregivers in delivering patient care, transporting patients and equipment, and setting up and maintaining patient rooms.
- Perform a wide range of clerical, transcription, and maintenance tasks, including tracking supply inventory, ordering supplies, and assisting with administrative support.
- Coordinate the flow of communications on the patient care unit and provide administrative and clerical support, including PI audits and data entry.
- Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
- Provide clinical support assistance, including cleaning the work area, maintaining office equipment, and troubleshooting common software and hardware problems.
- May be responsible for specimen collection, skin preps/scrubs, catheter care, capillary blood glucose checks, simple wound care, range of motion exercises, and/or postural drainage.
- Must be listed as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.
- One (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and six (6) months of related nursing assistant experience, which may include a nursing assistant course or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
