Job Responsibilities
The Conference Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in assisting the Director of Conference Services with managing reservations and orchestrating all event-related activities. This position collaborates with a diverse range of clients and suppliers utilizing the facilities. Responsibilities include coordinating event details with setup personnel and catering services. The role also involves working closely with the Culinary Institute of Charleston on various tasks within the CIC division.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Applicants must possess a high school diploma and relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services. A bachelor's degree may substitute for the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. Previous experience in event planning is highly desirable. Familiarity with Delphi operating systems is a plus. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of general office practices, procedures, and filing systems, as well as exhibit self-direction, leadership, collaboration, attention to detail, and initiative. The ability to work effectively with administrative support staff, management, and both internal and external clients and vendors is crucial. The position requires the capability to lift up to 20 pounds.
