Position Summary: The Landside Operations Specialist is responsible for managing the Commercial Transportation Area, ensuring a seamless experience for airport patrons in need of parking and transportation services. This role involves direct interaction with customers, providing assistance and information regarding various transportation options.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commercial Transportation Management: Facilitate operations at the Valet, Taxi, Charter, TNC, and Courtesy Vehicle Booths. Greet customers warmly and assist with their transportation inquiries.
- Data Management: Log and input ground transportation data, including trip logs for Taxis and Charters, into the departmental database for tracking and billing purposes.
- Cashier Operations: Operate the exit plaza cashier booth, processing parking tickets and payments while maintaining accurate records of transactions for auditing.
- Traffic Coordination: Direct traffic flow at the terminal commercial curb, ensuring safe passage for customers and managing commercial pickup lanes effectively.
- Documentation Processing: Handle various forms of documentation related to departmental operations, ensuring timely processing and compliance with established procedures.
- Equipment Utilization: Operate necessary office equipment and software to complete work assignments efficiently.
- Communication: Engage with Airport Authority officials, colleagues, clients, and service contractors to coordinate activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of one year in a related field or equivalent training and experience.
Licenses: Valid South Carolina Driver's License required.
Physical Requirements: The role requires light physical effort, including some lifting and carrying of light objects (5-10 pounds), and may involve extended periods at a workstation.
