Key Responsibilities
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships by delivering personalized service tailored to each banking client's unique needs.
  • Guide customers through the process of opening and managing personal and business accounts, including checking, savings, and time deposits.
  • Evaluate customer applications, analyze financial information, and recommend suitable financial products while ensuring clear communication throughout the process.
  • Clarify loan terms and conditions, keeping customers informed at every stage.
  • Authorize loans within designated limits and escalate applications exceeding those limits to management for further review.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of all bank products and services to effectively address customer needs.
  • Stay informed about competitors' offerings and maintain a strong grasp of banking products and services.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients, fostering a positive workplace atmosphere.
  • Exercise independent judgment in recommending loans and products in alignment with bank policies.
  • Initiate, review, and approve wire transfer requests as necessary.
  • Review legal documentation as required and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
  • Conduct credit checks and validate borrower information as needed for loan requests.
  • Coordinate with the central appraisal department to order appraisals when appropriate.
  • Assist in the preparation of loan packages in accordance with bank standards.
  • Stay updated on new legislation and regulations impacting consumer lending policies.
  • Provide insights on the status of consumer loans and marketing strategies based on current and historical data.
  • Address inquiries from applicants, realtors, and other referral sources, resolving customer complaints promptly.
  • Complete all required logs and reports as mandated by management.
  • Achieve or surpass established sales, cross-sell, and referral objectives as applicable.
  • Adhere to the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act) and maintain registration with the NMLS, with annual renewal as required.
  • Perform all job duties while ensuring compliance with relevant banking laws and regulations.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Participation in community events to promote the bank is expected.
Required Qualifications

A high school diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of experience in consumer lending and account management.

Preferred Qualifications

Two years of experience in consumer lending and retail banking, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding performance goals.
