Application Support Specialist

Position Overview
The Product Support Analyst plays a crucial role in assisting with escalated inquiries and challenges related to various business applications, including Point of Sale systems, SAP, and payment processing tools. This role is essential for gathering customer insights and suggesting enhancements to optimize application performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate complex inquiries and issues by applying analytical thinking, initiative, and teamwork alongside established protocols.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Project Teams to understand and support essential business applications.
- Identify, propose, and document enhancements or modifications for key business applications.
- Act as a technical intermediary between development teams and end-users.
- Analyze and review customer feedback on critical business applications.
- Facilitate training sessions for Service Desk and other support teams regarding new products or services introduced to the organization.
- Ensure compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards.
- Develop and evaluate instructional materials and knowledge articles related to business applications and processes.
- Conduct Quality Assurance assessments on software releases and fixes for business applications.
- Provide on-call support for urgent production issues on a rotating basis.
- Complete tasks efficiently and accurately while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Adhere to Incident Management Procedures and assist with communication for high-priority issues impacting the organization.
- Manage financial reconciliations, invoices, and related data.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of IT support experience or eighteen months of experience with business application hardware.
- Proficiency in POS systems, SAP, invoice processing systems, and payment application systems is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Capability to prepare and execute test plans, scripts, and cases is essential.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Strong technical, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Flexibility to adapt to various organizational situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organizational skills to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
- Commitment to confidentiality, respect for others, and adherence to company values.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and adaptability to changing requirements in a dynamic environment.
Educational Background:
An associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.
Work Schedule:
Standard working hours are from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
