Position Overview

Vaco is collaborating with a leading organization to identify a Technical Support Specialist for their IT support division. This role is pivotal in delivering comprehensive technical assistance and customer service to end-users, focusing on desktop systems and related applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary contact for all technology-related inquiries.
  • Ensure optimal performance and resolution of desktop systems (Windows and macOS), along with company-approved peripherals.
  • Possess a solid understanding of server architecture and Active Directory (Azure AD/Entra ID).
  • Oversee the installation and configuration of workstations, laptops, and printers.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify licensing and access, adhering to the principle of least privilege.
  • Demonstrate expertise in Microsoft Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
  • Manage the tracking and lifecycle of IT assets through established inventory protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and support Microsoft Outlook, Office 365, Exchange, and VPN solutions.
  • Understand Multifactor Authentication and Single-Sign-On tools.
  • Support mobile device management (MDM) and endpoint management solutions like Intune and JAMF.
  • Create clear and comprehensive technical documentation for complex processes.
  • Monitor and manage ticketing systems, routing incidents as necessary.
  • Handle Identity and Access Management, including user account provisioning and maintenance.
  • Contribute to the development and enforcement of Active Directory Group Policies.
  • Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as Jira Service Management and ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, management, and vendors to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Provide technical support for audio/video setups in conference rooms.
  • Analyze and resolve complex application, network, and security issues independently.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively, demonstrating sound judgment and ownership of resolutions.
  • Recommend optimizations for IT Operations to prevent future issues.
  • Evaluate new technologies to enhance business operations and user experience.
  • Commit to delivering quality service and achieving team objectives.
