BGSF Inc. is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to become a vital part of our team, engaging directly with client projects in a hybrid work environment.

Position Overview

The Technical Support Specialist will provide assistance to various centers within our network, managing daily tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Key duties include the upkeep of IT hardware across the organization, handling multiple customer inquiries concurrently, and troubleshooting a variety of IT-related devices such as PCs, mobile devices, thin clients, printers, and MACs. This role will also involve remote support for several locations and will report to the IT Manager of the Services Support Desk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail while assisting users with technical challenges via phone and email, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Adhere to established Deskside operating procedures; accurately document and update support tickets using designated tracking software.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications for support, reporting, and documentation purposes.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members across the organization to expedite ticket resolution.
  • Assume responsibility for issues from initiation to successful resolution.
  • Maintain professionalism in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.
  • Exercise autonomy in managing your workload with minimal supervision.
  • Provide intermediate technical support for end users.
  • Lead efforts in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer operating systems, with a focus on macOSX.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of IT operations, related applications, and business processes.
  • Stay informed about operating systems and application software to deliver a high level of support.

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, along with 3-5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex computer systems, particularly with macOSX.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively based on departmental and production goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced setting.
