Job Summary:

As a Medical Assistant with Catholic Health Service, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in our Primary Care Medical Services department. Under the direct supervision of our healthcare providers, you will assist with patient care, administrative tasks, and contribute to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care, including vital signs, medical histories, and administering medications.
  • Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and communicating with patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in medical assisting.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or completion of an accredited medical assisting program required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of employment.

Working Conditions:
May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases, occasional exposure to unpleasant patient elements, contact with patients under various circumstances, and subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
