Job Overview

MicroHealth, LLC is in search of a Senior Research Analyst to enhance our operations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies is essential.
  • Experience in Public Health is required.

This role will be instrumental in delivering Studies and Analysis, Program Management, Logistical, and Records and Information Management support. Responsibilities include crafting reports, organizing and executing meetings, fulfilling membership appointment requirements, updating databases, and managing agency records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate precise, evidence-based, complex reports and information papers to support government staff and members in addressing a variety of military healthcare issues. These comprehensive products typically require 6 months to 1 year for development and demand high-level conceptual skills, critical thinking, and expertise in technical and scientific writing.
  • Provide minutes and executive summary reports of meetings, consolidating and editing notes from committee members into a suitable format, and drafting findings and recommendations.
  • Assist government staff and members in conducting fact-finding, analysis, and research for health-related issues.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) within the Department of Defense, civilian sectors, and academia to gather timely and accurate information.
  • Support the formulation of Terms of Reference for potential tasks and/or departmental responses to reports.
  • Assist in developing recommendations and reports, including creating quarterly meeting updates and presentations using PowerPoint or similar software.
  • Help government staff and members prepare report products, such as abstracts, posters, and executive summaries for submission to peer-reviewed conferences and journals.
  • Engage in briefings as required to stay informed on significant health, military, and government topics related to the Military Health System.
  • Analyze annual reports, procedures, and system designs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Document current practices and report findings, maintaining up-to-date documentation and policies.
  • Collect data to assist in internal management reviews and decision-making, generating statistical charts and graphs to illustrate trends.
  • Understand data and create tools to visualize content and analysis for stakeholders.
  • Track and analyze data, assisting in the preparation of reports to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Establish internal controls and monitor adherence.
  • Conduct audits of processes and documents to identify weaknesses.
  • Recommend and implement administrative plans and procedures for optimal effectiveness.
  • Focus on solving management challenges through studies that involve changes in policies, practices, methods, and organizational structures.
  • Provide management services such as analysis, records management, auditing, and data processing systems.
  • Oversee various special programs as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master's degree in Public Health or a related field (Doctorate preferred) with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong scientific, quantitative, and qualitative research experience is mandatory.
  • Public Health experience is required.
  • Provide technical, editorial, and graphic support in preparing reports and documents.
  • Proficient in conducting literature reviews, data collection, analysis, technical writing, and graphic preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and openness to team input.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to interpret complex documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, use hands, reach with arms, and communicate. The employee may occasionally need to stand and lift objects up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
