Job Summary

The Progress Center Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our Community Supports Program in Norway, ME. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in providing community-based services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to individuals to gain independence and participate fully in their community.
  • Implement person-centered plans and care plans as determined by the team.
  • Support inclusion through participation in community-integrated activities, services, and events.
  • Assist with personal care as needed.
  • Follow recommendations for consumers from professional evaluations.
  • Fulfill all training requirements.
  • Attend agency meetings as directed by your supervisor.
  • Document and maintain all consumer records and services.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations while supporting individuals with disabilities.
Requirements
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Valid driver's license for at least 1 year.
  • Acceptable driving record.
  • Must be at least 17 years old.
