Job Summary

Oxford County Mental Health is seeking an experienced and energetic Lead Preschool Teacher to join our team at our Early Childhood Education Center. This is a 40-hour per week position that follows the school-year calendar.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-quality preschool classroom team and develop a comprehensive curriculum to meet the social, emotional, physical, literacy, and cognitive needs of children.
  • Communicate effectively with families to understand their needs and provide support to ensure the well-being of children.
  • Collaborate with management to maintain compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Licensing requirements.

Requirements
  • Minimum of one of the following: Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field, Child Development Associate credential with commitment to complete Associate's Degree, or 12 related college credits with commitment to complete Associate's Degree.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in early care and education is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to function autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Considerable stamina to regularly lift, bend, carry, and perform other high-energy activities.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
