About the Role

The Director of Emergency Services Operations will provide strategic leadership and oversight to the Emergency Services department, ensuring effective and efficient operation of the department while promoting customer and employee satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement departmental goals, objectives, and policies that align with MaineHealth's strategic plan.
  • Provide daily operations support and resource management to ensure seamless delivery of emergency services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets and resources.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team of emergency services professionals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure the department remains competitive and innovative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in an accredited nursing program or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred or currently matriculated in a related MSN program.
  • Active RN License and RQI BLS & ACLS Certification within the first 30 days of employment.
  • One to two years of demonstrated clinical competence and leadership competence or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to mentor and empower staff, set the climate of cooperation and teamwork, and self-direct and self-motivate.
