Position Summary:

As an Environmental Assessment Specialist within our Due Diligence division, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive Phase 1 and Property Condition Assessments for our esteemed national clientele. This role necessitates frequent travel to various project sites across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute Phase I/II environmental site assessments (ESA), subsurface investigations, and oversee remediation project tasks.
  • Draft detailed ESA reports for clients, ensuring the inclusion of precise data, summary tables, and relevant figures.
  • Support senior management in coordinating work activities across multiple project functions to guarantee timely delivery.
  • Assist in meeting project milestones, budget constraints, deadlines, and other performance metrics.
  • Contribute to the selection and management of project personnel and subcontractors.
  • Prepare proposals for supplementary project work.
  • Develop and implement Health and Safety Plans/Job Safety Analyses for various sites.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in environmental assessment and remediation projects, including ASTM Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Limited subsurface investigations.
  • Proficient understanding of ASTM assessment standards.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Strong technical report writing capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while adhering to deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is mandatory; familiarity with CAD and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for fieldwork; a valid driver's license is essential.
Additional Information:

Physical requirements include the ability to navigate job sites during inspections, sometimes on uneven terrain, and the capacity to climb ladders to assess roofing conditions and equipment during PCA projects. Candidates should also be able to carry field testing equipment (up to 30 pounds) onto job sites regularly.
