As a Public Assistance Coordination Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Public Assistance (PA) Program by working with local agencies to assess and document eligible damages, response activities, and recovery needs. You will serve as a liaison between FEMA, state agencies, and local governments to facilitate clear communication and efficient resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist applicants in preparing and submitting documentation for FEMA's Public Assistance Program, ensuring compliance with program requirements and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience in disaster recovery.
  • 2-4 years of experience in disaster management or public assistance, preferably with FEMA PA program experience.
  • Strong understanding of FEMA Public Assistance Program requirements and disaster recovery policies.
  • Familiarity with disaster management software and data tracking systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with government agencies, applicants, and field staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work extended hours and travel to disaster-affected areas as needed.

Salary:$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
