I. Overview:

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for optimizing financial assets by developing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.

  • Oversees daily financial transactions within the company’s financial framework.

  • Advises on financial decisions and provides strategic insights.
  • Leads the annual budgeting process and ensures its successful execution.

II. Key Responsibilities:

Oversees daily financial transactions by:

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable to ensure adherence to company protocols.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate booking of all financial transactions in the General Ledger.
  • Creating and monitoring cash flow forecasts to address variances.
  • Overseeing cash flow and financial instruments.
  • Monitoring bank accounts and investments for cash flow management and fraud prevention, ensuring timely reconciliations.
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and vendors to resolve issues effectively.
  • Managing external contractors and business entities related to accounting.

Safeguards assets and monitors financial health by:

  • Communicating and coordinating accounting policies with various stakeholders.
  • Establishing procedures for asset custody and control.
  • Implementing best practices for financial reporting and variance analysis.
  • Reviewing collection reports to assess the status of receivables and acting as a check for the Credit & Collections department.
  • Conducting cost analysis and recommending improvements across all functional areas.
  • Formulating and auditing safety controls to prevent fraudulent activities.

Advises on financial decisions by:

  • Developing systematic weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports focused on key success factors.
  • Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial performance and reporting.
  • Conducting cost-benefit analyses for operational programs and financial requests.
  • Analyzing business operations and financial commitments to forecast future revenues and expenses.

Leads the annual budgeting process by:

  • Establishing timelines and processes for budget creation.
  • Providing resources for collecting and analyzing financial data across departments.
  • Comparing monthly budget performance against actual results to maintain control over expenditures.
  • Interpreting budget directives and establishing policies for implementation.
  • Summarizing budgets and making recommendations for fund requests.
  • Monitoring budget performance and addressing concerns promptly.

Ensures compliance and provides managerial guidance by:

  • Staying informed on legislation to advise management on necessary changes.
  • Supervising financial processes to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Preparing required financial and regulatory reports and ensuring timely payments.
  • Overseeing the preparation of audit materials and maintaining proper documentation for compliance.

Acts as a subject matter expert for financial systems by:

  • Administering and supporting the implementation of financial systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with GAAP and International Accounting Standards.
  • Serving as the functional expert on financial systems and performing necessary maintenance.
  • Optimizing financial systems related to product tracking in line with business activities.

Manages the accounting team by:

  • Supervising in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Recruiting, training, and evaluating employees; managing workflow and performance.
  • Standardizing procedures to enhance team efficiency.
  • Maintaining effective communication with team members to foster a positive work environment.

Additional duties and projects may be assigned as needed.

III. Qualifications:

  • Experience in inventory management and distribution is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft GP Dynamics is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managerial accounting, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is required.
