About the Role

Pernod Ricard España SA is a leading global premium spirits and wine company, and we're seeking a highly skilled Market Manager to join our team. As a Market Manager, you will be responsible for driving the success of our Agave portfolio in the assigned markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Agave Category Performance: Own and execute the total Agave category Net Sales performance and execution in on-premise, on-premise chains, independent retail, and retail chain channels for all assigned markets.
  • Brand Building: Build and execute PRUSA Agave portfolio brand strategies, including identifying and overseeing targeted sell-through activities, implementing national programs, and ensuring ROI for all market resources.
  • Local Execution: Ensure effective execution of the Agave category plan, including PRUSA strategic initiatives, innovation launches, and local KPIs, in line with state priorities at the local/channel level.
  • Brand Standards: Own and execute PRUSA Agave brand standards through rigorous communication, training, and education, distributor sales team co-selling, and support of distributor teams.
  • Key Account Management: Own relationships with key accounts, including on-premise, on-premise chains, independent retail, and retail chain channels, to implement PRUSA retail execution standards, innovation, and distribution priorities.
  • Sales Force Training: Train, motivate, and develop distributor sales teams to achieve targets by executing flawlessly in all trade channels through co-selling and flawless execution.
  • Market Data Analysis: Leverage market-level data dashboards to assess and track performance, SKU gap voids, sell-through, and re-buy rates, identify Agave category net sales and overall business growth opportunities, and inform strategy and decisions within the territory.
  • Pricing Strategy: Monitor and track Agave retail pricing of PRUSA Agave brands and competitor Agave brands to ensure price strategy compliance and recommend further price programming to capitalize local market opportunities.
  • Forecasting and Reporting: Support PRUSA state manager with PRUSA Agave brand forecasts for the territory and monthly commentary on performance vs. opportunities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with PRUSA state leads, Market Managers, CDM, and Prestige Teams, and Field Marketing Managers to develop and execute local execution plans against total Agave portfolio that deliver against financial objectives, KPIs, and strategic imperatives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of previous sales experience in a wine and spirit or consumer goods sales environment with proven success managing distributor relationships. Experience in the Agave category a big plus.
Organizational Context
  • Reports solid line to VP of Agave (or direct manager where available).
  • Works closely with PRUSA state manager.
  • Works closely with CDM & PSM teams.
  • Works closely with Chains Division sales leads.
  • Works closely with Field Marketing team(s).
  • Works closely with distributor dedicated and full-book sales teams.
