Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team in an inpatient setting. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the psychiatric provider and behavioral health team to provide high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans in collaboration with the behavioral health team and medical team.
  • Monitor patient progress and provide crisis de-escalation services as needed.
  • Work independently to apply knowledge of diagnostic criteria and recommend appropriate levels of care for behavioral health patients.
  • Facilitate patient-centered, trauma-informed brief individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy within the acute care setting.
  • Coordinate discharge and aftercare services as needed.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Professional Counseling) required.
  • Licensed as a LGPC or LMSW in the state of Maryland required.
  • One year of previous experience working with individuals with acute and chronic mental illness in an acute care psychiatric setting preferred.

  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills of behavioral health clinical practice in various settings.
  • Effective critical thinking and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing and crisis environments.
