Job Summary:
The University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate UC Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our behavioral health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals with acute and chronic mental illness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with psychiatric providers, medical teams, and community stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Provide trauma-informed individual, group, and family therapy services to promote patient-centered care.
- Develop and implement discharge and aftercare plans to ensure a smooth transition for patients.
- Coordinate services with community providers, including knowledge of community resources, Medicare/Medicaid, and commercial insurances.
- Stay up-to-date with state and federal regulations related to clinical practice in multiple settings.
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Human Services (e.g., Social Work, Professional Counseling) required.
- Licensed as a LGPC or LMSW in the state of Maryland required.
- Previous experience working with individuals with acute and chronic mental illness in an acute care psychiatric setting preferred.
